We are excited to welcome you to this weekend's tournament and sincerely appreciate your participation! The schedule is now posted and updated.

Please find important information for the weekend below:

**TURF RULES: **

To maintain the quality of the turf and ensure a clean and healthy environment, the following are prohibited on all synthetic turf/athletic fields:

* NO METAL CLEATS/SPIKES. You may wear turf shoes, molded (rubber/plastic) cleats, or tennis shoes.

* NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS/SHELLED NUTS

* NO SMOKING OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS

* NO CHEWING GUM

* NO HITTING OR THROWING ANY TYPE OF BALLS INTO THE FENCE OR NETTING

* NO PICKING OR PULLING OF TURF FIBERS OR INFILL MATERIAL ON FIELDS

**FORMAT OF EVENT:**

The tournament will consist of 3 pool games followed by single elimination.

**PAP & GAME LENGTH:**

PAP is $50. Pool games are 80 minutes (finish the batter), and bracket games are 80 minutes (finish the inning).

**PAYMENTS:**

The cost for the tournament is $520. Payment can be made through USSSA or Venmo: @JandLDevelopers.

**WEATHER UPDATES:**

Any weather-related delays or updates will be sent via email through USSSA.

**CONCESSIONS:**

Concessions will be open. We recommend bringing individual water jugs for players if possible.

**GAME BALLS:**

Teams are required to provide two game balls to the umpire before each game. Balls must be either stamped USSSA Fastpitch Classic or visibly marked .47 and 375.

**GATE ENTRY:**

There will be a daily gate fee of $10.00 per person. Children 8 years old and under are free. Coaches will be officially checked in once they have signed in.

**SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT RULES & INFORMATION:**

1. Teams should report to their assigned field at least 30 minutes before game time.

2. Pitchers will be allowed 5 warm-up pitches in their first inning and 3 warm-up pitches thereafter. All new pitchers will receive the same.

3. NO INFIELD WARM-UP BETWEEN GAMES.

4. NO INFIELD BALLS DURING THE GAME AFTER THE 1ST INNING.

5. ALL POOL GAMES on Saturday will be 80 minutes, with no new inning after 75 minutes. Finish the batter. If time expires before the inning is completed, the game is over (DROP DEAD).

6. ALL BRACKET GAMES on Sunday will be 80 minutes (finish the inning).

7. During POOL games, there will be FREE defensive substitutions, and lineup cards are not necessary.

8. During Bracket play, complete lineups will be required, including first name, last name, position, and number.

9. Home team/visitor will be determined by a coin flip. The HOME TEAM WILL BE THE OFFICIAL BOOK.

10. USSSA RULES APPLY unless a special rule supersedes them.

11. No protests will be accepted.

12. The run rule is in effect for bracket play: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, and 8 runs after 5 innings.

13. When the game is over, teams must leave the field immediately after shaking hands. We are on a tight schedule, so please adhere to this.

14. Please remember, this is an exposure event; therefore, no bad behavior will be tolerated by parents, players, or coaches.

2025 Southern Classic Camp Registration The Southern Classic Showcase is designed for high school softball players that want to be evaluated by and work directly with college coaches. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college student-athletes and want to showcase their skills. The camp will feature high level instruction from active college coaches, along with live evaluations and feedback provided by the coaching staff throughout the process, as well as discussion on the process of working towards a college softball opportunity. The camp is open to all high school softball players.

ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE
• Instruction from all coaches attending the event.
• Feedback on Hitting, Throwing, Running, and Defense (by position).
• Opportunities to ask questions about their skills and get to know the college coaches.
• An in-person discussion about the college recruiting process, rules, and regulations.
• All campers will be numbered so the coaches can identify each player.

Started game that play two or more innings will be considered a game.

Fans enter at their own risk into the park. Wristbands are not refunded once entered.
