Louisiana All State Games will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2023. Games will start as early as 9am with check-in starting at 7:30am.
Location: St. Julien Park, 701 Saint Nazaire Rd, Broussard, LA 70518
The All-State Games will showcase players nominated throughout the season participating in MVP and Nominating qualifiers. Players will be nominated for displaying great overall effort and tournament performance throughout the season and great sportsmanship. To be eligible, players must be rostered on USSSA teams. It does not matter what state your team is from.
This celebration of softball and the best and brightest players and teammates in Louisiana is much more than just on-field games. Off-field entertainment will include face painting, a DJ and a balloon twister. Individual Skills Competitions are also part of the event.
Players will be placed on balanced teams with other players from other teams that represent the state or Region. Each team will play two exhibition games against teams from the same age group.
Details on Format/Teams:
- Max 3 players from same team on a one Team (But players can play on other teams from the same team)
- Roster batting is mandatory
- Game Balls will be provided
- Players will wear their current team jersey (no metal cleats allowed)
- Catchers should bring their own catchers gear
- Games will be 70 minutes. No score will be kept.
- The event was created to be a fun, non-competitive showcase of players competing with other players from across the state.
- Poor Sportsmanship of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Teams will be coached by college players.
Players will receive an All-State ring and shirt. Shirts (different style) will be sold at the event.

Event Details
TEAM ASSIGNMENTS:
Please keep in mind on the games that goal is to build friendships and alliances with players for teams across the state. We attempted to cover all positions on all teams and keep them balanced. There may be opportunities for players to pick up additional games of teams become short for any reason. You can let us know at checkin if your daughter is interested.
Players will wear their team uniform. If they have changed teams, they can wear whichever uniform they wish to represent.
In between game times there will be opportunities to do skills competitions, eat, and have fun. The park does have a splash pad and we’ll have a DJ, face painters and balloon twisters.

SKILLS COMPETITIONS:
the players can compete in any or all of the 3 competitions below. Score cards can be picked up at the table near the entrance of the Blue Pod. Drills can be done at any time but we plan to finish by 3:30 so that award announcement can be made. Awards will be given for the top 3 in each event by age group.
The skills competitions are explained below:
ROAD RUNNER
- Each player gets 1 opportunity to run the bases as fast as possible.
- Player will run Home to Home.
- No practice runs or running starts.
- The timer will start when the timer says go.
(The bases are anchored shorter than 60 ft. Player will run the length that the bases are set at.)
- Tiebreaker: n/a
GOLDEN ARM
- Each player will get 10 throws at the field of targets.
- Players can throw at whichever targets they choose in whatever order.
- Points are awarded based off each targets location and distance. There is a bonus if a player hits each target once in their attempt.
- Tiebreaker:
- Player with the bonus points for hitting each target.
- The player with the most 100 point throws.
BOMBS AWAY
- -Each player will get as many home run attempts as possible without getting 8 outs.
- -There are no practice pitches or swings.
- -An out is any ball that is not batted over the “fence” in fair territory.
- -Each player is allowed to take 2 pitches. After 2 takes, it will be an out.
- -Players waiting to patriciate should assist with retrieving home run balls.
- **Players are highly encouraged to bring their own pitcher for Bombs Away. There will be a pitcher provided if needed.**
- Tiebreaker:
- The player with the least amount of takes.
- Most home runs that clear the next age groups hitting distance.
- Most home runs that clear the fence.
- Distances:
- 8U/10U 120 feet
- 12U-HS 160 feet

AllState is a fun event designed to reward players who were nominated for their outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and attitude. This event offers game time with teammates from across the state, individual skills competition, music, and FUN!
