Good Friday Evening,
We have received rain pretty much all day here, but it is expected to clear soon and we are still set for a 0800 first pitch.
**ALL GAMES AT OAK VILLA ARE EXPECTED TO BE PLAYED AS SCHDULED. **
**THE REMAINING PART OF THIS EMAIL IS FOR TEAMS PLAYING AT LIVE OAK ONLY:
LIVE OAK has notified us that the 8 pool games on the dirt fields will not be playable in the morning due to the rain we have received today and will continue to receive for the next few hours.
We have looked at adding those games to the turf but do not believe that is a viable option due to that pushing all three Championship games at Live Oak to be scheduled for 1130pm.
We have also looked at playing those games later in the day on dirt but that is also not an option as it would interfere with the flow of the bracket games.
For that reason, we are canceling the games that were scheduled for tomorrow morning on the dirt fields. That would be fields #3 and #4 on your schedule. No team should have been scheduled two pool games on those fields. If you had a game on #3 or #4 at Live Oak, simply remove it from your schedule tomorrow and play accordingly.
We will offer a partial credit to those teams that are losing a pool game this weekend to their next scheduled Capitol Region event.
**All other games will be played as scheduled at Live Oak on the Turf Quad, which is fields #8-11. No times or match ups will be changed for games originally scheduled on Fields #8-11.
This does not affect any games at Oak Villa.
